We have been super busy since May so I have completely neglected blogging. But baby is on the verge of making her appearance so I figured I'd better catch up before that. In May we celebrated Jenna's 6th birthday on the 13th. This girl is so much fun. We can't imagine life without her.
Shortly after school got out we moved. My parents will be serving a mission in the fall and asked us to stay in their house while they are gone. We happily accepted and moved in for the summer so that the girls can make some friends in our ward before starting at a new school. My parents are spending the summer in Bear Lake and will be leaving for Samoa on October 5th. They will serve a CES/Perpetual Education Fund mission. We will miss them terribly but they will be such a blessing to the young people of Samoa. Working with young adults is one of my parents' many gifts so I think this will be the perfect mission for them.
We spent the entire month of June enjoying our annual vacation to Utah/Idaho. We usually go in July but since baby is coming we had to go a little earlier. That meant we had really cool weather and a lot of rain, which we tried to enjoy and soak up since we knew we'd be coming back to miserable heat.
The first week of our vacation was spent with Devon's parents in Provo. We had so much fun and kept ourselves quite busy. Here are some pictures of the things we did. We visited Discovery Gateway, a museum for children in downtown SLC.
We visited This is the Place Park to see how the pioneers lived.
We went to the Orem City Days Carnival with our cousins Riley and Malory.
We attended the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. That was the first time I've had the opportunity to be in the temple with my kids. What a special experience for me.
We visited Temple Square.
We then spent a couple of weeks in Bear Lake with my parents. Because of all the rain and cool temperatures we didn't spend a lot of time on the Lake but we did get a couple of boat days in. Otherwise we did crafts, read books, ate lots of my parents' good cooking, and enjoyed just hanging around with Gammy and Papa. We also saw two shows at the local Pickleville Playhouse which were fabulous. Devon was able to join us for the last week of our vacation and he enjoyed lots of golf and some wakeboarding. We were sad to leave the lake this year knowing my parents won't be there with us next year.
We spent the weekend of the 4th back in Provo with Devon's parents. This has become a yearly tradition for us because we love all the festivities. We went to the hot air balloon festival and watched the balloons take off and Devon's parents were nice enough to take our girls to the Stadium of Fire.
All in all, it was a fabulous time and we were sad to come home to the heat. The only redeeming thing about coming home was knowing baby was coming soon. We can't wait to meet her and I, for one, hope she doesn't take too much longer to make her appearance. Stay tuned!

It was great to see all your new photos! That is great that your parents are going on a mission AND that you get to live in their house. It should be fun! And by the way, was that a pig hot air balloon?
